So, Acts is an amazing story.

We're journeying together and we've been doing a little recap,

but I'm going to skip that and hope that you have been here enough to know that there are four major themes in the book of Acts.

And we're going to see them in the chapters that we park in tonight, the authority of Jesus, the risen Lord, an assignment from God that all believers would carry the message of Jesus to the whole world.

The assistance of the Holy Spirit, God knowing that an assignment like that can't be done in human strength.

And then the assimilation of all people, and this is what I love about the gospel, all races, this is revelation, all tribes, all languages, and all tongues in one heaven.

Isn't that awesome? God is a reconciler of all the races and all the tribes and all the languages and all the tongues.

He doesn't want to turn everybody into the same race.

He wants to join all the races into the same family.

And this is the message of the gospel and its power in the church.

And so, the authority of Jesus, the assignment that we carry the gospel, the assistance of the Holy Spirit, and the assimilation of lost people, dead people, far away people.

They thought they were real close people, the good people, the bad people, and all the people in between that getting assimilated, joined into one family.

And they called the church because of the same message of grace and reconciliation in Christ Jesus.

These are the big themes of Acts.

The picture we talked about is a flaming arrow being launched from the bow of God's sovereign purposes in plans.

We journey through chapter one, we journey through chapter two, tonight we come to chapter three.

So just turn with me if you will.

The title of message tonight is called the miracle and the message.

That's the title we're working under. The miracle and the message.
