So much similarities that I could fill up episodes on it. In this episode I want to talk about the mindset of not quitting. It is imperative that you learn how to talk to yourself. If you are new here, I have lost 125 pounds and have successfully kept it off,

and I am a full-time weight loss coach, specializing

and helping those who have a lot of weight to lose get the weight off and keep it off.

I also, since losing my weight, have gotten into endurance running.

And this past week, I completed my first marathon.

It's a trail marathon, and it was by far the hardest physical experience I have ever endured in my life.

It was fascinating to run this marathon and to really feel all the things that I've read about that I've heard about regarding

what it's like to run one of those. And I'm going to talk about it here, but I'm not going to talk

about it just to share the stories of the marathon. That is, you know, of course, anybody that's

run a marathon wants to share their war stories.

It just comes with the territory and it's super fun.

But what I really want to talk about is how a marathon is very much similar to a weight loss

journey.

And I sort of expected this going into running a marathon that it would be similar, but it was

surprising just how apropos it is.

I think it's the right use of that word there.

And how accurate of a comparison it is to say it is a weight loss journey.

Because it really is a process that has phases, it has chapters, it has sort of predictable

experiences that you're going to go through. And I see this with my clients. I see this with
