Have you ever heard the story of Eli in the Bible? Hi, this is Heidi St. John, and today

I am on part three of a four-part little series that I am doing on being a mindful mom.

Now when I say be mindful, I mean be thinking. Be always aware. Being mindful means that

I am aware of what is happening around me. I'm aware of how my actions are influencing

or affecting other people around me. I'm aware of the thoughts in my life and how they

are impacting my behavior. And today I want to talk about being mindful of the harvest.

One of the favorite things that the Lord gave me years and years ago, and I say it to

moms all the time, is to plant with the harvest in mind. In other words, when I am correcting

my children or speaking into the lives of my children, I want to be speaking into their

lives with the harvest in mind. In other words, those words that I am saying to them are

sowing seeds in their life. In first Samuel 2, 12 through 17, we read about the story of
