Welcome back to another episode of Every Square Inch as we continue our series on masculinity.

We are currently exploring the creation of gender as a whole and masculinity, more specifically. Last week we discussed the way in which male and female are similar. Both are fundamentally image-bearers of God and thus equal in dignity,

nobility, value, and so forth. And this, I said, was the revolutionary idea introduced to the ancient world,

that male and female are equal and have more in common than we have differences. And it's important to

establish that truth before exploring what might be more controversial to our modern world.

That male and female are also different.

That there is an immutable difference to what it means to be a man and what it means to be a woman.

That is what the rest of the podcast series will be devoted

to. More specifically, what it means to be a man in all of his glory and responsibility. However,

after some questions and conversations this week, I believe I need one more episode

to further develop what I discussed last week.

I promise we will get to the differences.

That's the whole point of this series.

So that's what we're going to spend more of our time.

But we need to be really, really careful how we define those differences.
