What's up? What's up? Welcome back. I want to start out by thanking you all so much for the incredible

feedback I received from our last episode which was called the betrayal.

I was out to shine the light of freedom and to illuminate the blind spots that undermine solidarity in the body of Christ.

For those who reached out to share the story of your own

trauma and pain at the intersection of race, faith, and betrayal, thank you.

Voicing your pain is not murmuring or complaining. It's part of healing.

Thank you also for the testimonies that you shared about faith communities,

committed to the work of solidarity, and doing the hard job of figuring

out what's required.

You have found strength and healing both spiritually and emotionally there, and I'm so so glad about that.

As my husband says often,

hurt must be heard before it can be healed.

Thank you also though to the leaders of multiracial churches whose hearts were so broken

by our guest's personal story that you bravely reached out seeking more insight and

sincerely searching your own hearts and ministry functioning looking for blind spots.

You know, blind spots are an interesting phenomenon and scary too, right?

Deadly accidents happen in those spaces.

How many of us have ever almost had a blind spot accident?

We changed lanes and didn't see that a car was right there.
