Summary

Thousands of Christians use this passage to state that Jesus' work on the cross was not only for sin but also for sickness. They believe the healing this passage speaks of is referring to an immediate physical healing not only spiritual healing. They believe this healing can be applied now by faith. This interpretation belongs within the greater prosperity gospel position. But is it right? Are these people's interpretations of this passage accurate? 1:27.6	Today's passage is 1 Peter 2 24 which states, and he himself bore our sins in his body
1:34.9	on the cross so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness for by his wounds

1:43.0	These people that adhere to the Prosperity Gospel really promote this passage of Scripture.
