Welcome. We're still locked on to the Dallas Mavericks. Your team every day. My name is Nick Engset. I'm talking about the One More Thing, King himself, Isaac Harris. And we're going to talk about two trades that ESPN made for Kyrie Irving and Daniel Gafford. and we're going to grade them.

We're going to go through them,

talk about what we liked,

what we didn't like about them,

the types of traits that they were,

because the maps are in a weird situation right now where they should be like in a full rebuild mode. With building on Cooper Flag, everything that Messiah, Ujiri and Mike Schmitz have said about Cooper Flagg and about this team is they want to build around him and he's the foundation and everything like that. And this is only going to be his second year and he's only just going to be 19 still at the start of the year. But they do have all these vets. They have Kyrie. They have Daniel Gafford. They have PJ Washington, Najee Marshall, Clay Thompson. They have a bunch of these vets that were assembled around a Lukadaj-Aj Kairi backcourt to be a win-now team.

They've all the, like, all the makings of like a win-now team in certain areas of the roster.

And so you have to be able to get the right kinds of assets for those type of players if you're going to do a full rebuild.

And this first trade that ESPN proposes, the Pistons get Kyrie Irving,

Mavericks get Isaiah Stewart, beef stew, Keros LaVert, Ron Holland, who did not play in the

playoffs very much, and a 2026 first round pick that is number 21. So they get the 21st pick,

Isaiah Stewart, Karris Leverd, and Ron Holland for Kyrie Irving. And earlier today, you said that this one is not it.

Tell me why.

I don't know what the approval process is for when you, like, post something or publish

something on ESPN.com, but they got to look at Asana and figure out the approval processes on this because

if Kyrie Irving wants to be traded and we've been very clear if you haven't been

listening to show and you just popped in for this episode like I'm fully in the camp of

like you keep Kyrie Irving and it feels like your Schmitz Masai, they're saying all the things of like,

we want Kyrie match made in heaven. Mike said the other day. We owe it to the organization to see
