Well, hello there, everybody. My name is Benedict Townsend. Welcome back to YouTube News the podcast.

And the more observant among you may have noticed that last week we didn't have an episode.

There was no episode of the YouTube News podcast. It was the first time since we launched in

1998 that there's not been an episode of the YTNP. And there's a whole story behind it. It's not

that interesting. It's kind of personal to me. I don't even really want to get into it.

Basically, I was away. I mean, do I want to bore you with this story? It's pretty... I mean, I was like a home, and then I was like, basically, like, kidnapped by an international syndicate of elite criminal mercenaries and bundled into a military vehicle

you know kind of just like standard stuff and we were like you know speeding away and I picked the handcuffs and rolled out of the back of the truck onto the highway dodging cars and then a helicopter swooped down to try and grab me

is it worth even to I can tell I'm just boring everyone at home with all these dull tales of my dull life.

But, you know, basically I get on the helicopter and I take up the pilot with a series of expert

grati chops and the helicopter dances precariously over a ravine, like some kind of majestic

metal bird of prey.

And then I'm kicked out, but I managed to grab hold of the one parachute and put it on. And then I had, um, I had this Amazon delivery.

Oh no, sorry, that was the next day. Which day is this?

Yeah. I got some glue, some gorilla glue delivered by Amazon because I needed to fix a skirting board.

I don't think... I think that was the following day.

That's a different story.

But yeah, so anyway, so I'm like tumbling out of the helicopter,

and I'm struggling to put the parachute on,

and then I think I put it on, and I think I pull it at the last second or something,

like mere seconds before hitting the ground,

and then I sort of dusted my shoulder off as the chopper crashed and exploded behind me
