Summary

We are recording today’s episode on marble, which is something we have absolutely loved doing in our projects. Since the beginning of Alice Lane, we have always tried to have marble in each design we do. It just changes the game and adds that organic movement, character, and depth. In a world of squares, we need that veining, which just takes it to a whole new level. We talk about our dolce tray, which is this rounded marble platform used as a luxurious spot to place your desserts or gourmet bites. Listen in today to hear the various marble sets and decor that we recommend! Our new marble collection 2:30 How the marble collection started 10:25 The dolce tray 16:10 Amore tray 20:00 The coaster set 22:45 A tray Sue uses with kids at home 26:40 The Milan dish 29:00 Onyx 32:45 The last marble 40:20 “A round dish with a big bull nose edge, it comes in 2 sizes. You could just put a grand candle in it for your entryway, or your center hall table, or your kitchen island, or the coffee table, or you keep candy in it, or the list goes on. Put it on your nice stand, put your glass of water and your nighttime pills, whatever. It’s so pretty. All the perfume bottles, you could make up a million reasons for it.” 29:10 https://www.instagram.com/alicelaneinteriors/ https://www.instagram.com/alicelanehome/ https://alicelanehome.com/ https://www.facebook.com/AliceLaneHome https://www.pinterest.com/alicelanehome/ https://www.youtube.com/alicelanehomecollectionsaltlakecity https://www.alicelaneinteriordesign.com/interior-design-service-podcast-campaign https://alicelanehome.com/pages/home-furnishing-podcast-campaign News Letter:  https://manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/subscribe?a=HZENWY&g=PFcqV5

It is something that we have loved, loved in our projects.

1:08.3

We can't actually do a project without it.

1:11.0

No, honestly, since the beginning of Alice, I should say we can't. We could if we needed to, but

1:15.8

we could, but that would be a client preference and we still would get some type of natural stone

1:19.9

or some natural movement because it just changes the game. Yeah. It adds that organic, like,

1:25.4

movement that we do need. Character depth and interest in the world of

1:28.9

squares we need that veining we do and it just takes it to a whole new level and so love yeah

1:37.0

yeah use it on every project and it's rad that like every slab is different it's not like oh we use

1:41.6

this exact same thing you know what i mean maybe it's the same material but it's different. I think all you designers out there would agree, and those of you

1:48.9

that have had the chance to go to a slab yard would agree that it is like choosing artwork. And it's a fun

1:53.9

thing to take your client to the slab yard and choose the actual slabs. One of my favorite things to go when you're shopping for your home.
