Summary

On the 6th of June 2012, 32-year-old mother of four Claire Holland went missing in Bristol are a night out.

She'd met her ex-partner for a drink and whilst witnesses saw her leave the pub that night, she seemed to vanish into thin air.

But then an undercover police officer did something incredible - over 18 months he befriended the main suspect... to try to get him to confess.

I'm Naomi Channel and this is real. You know, In 2008, 28-year-old Claire Holland was working in a cafe in Bristol in the west of England.

She was a mother of three children, a daughter and two sons, and she was single.

A man called Darren Osment got a job working in the same cafe as Claire, he was a chef,

and soon after they met, they started a romantic relationship. In 2010, Claire fell pregnant and she gave birth to their child, a little baby boy.

This should have been an exciting new chapter for the couple, but a month after Claire gave birth,

Darren's behaviour towards her started to change, and their relationship

became toxic and violent. Both Darren and Claire had issues with alcohol, and it wasn't long

before they split up. When their son was just a month old, he was taken into care after Darren became violent and threw Claire down a flight of stairs.

The police were called and social services intervened.

Claire told her social workers that she was frightened of her partner and that he'd tried to strangle her in the past.
