Caitlin, and welcome to this week's Mandalorian Recap, where we're talking somehow all about chapter 13, the Jedi, which was directed and written by Dave Filoni. Oh boy. This episode is

filled with so much, not just story-wise, but there's just a lot of

layers going on here. And in a lot of ways, I really feel like this episode and its release

feels like a movie release when it comes to Star Wars just because it's pretty divisive. Everyone

has an opinion. It's the first watch is like needs a second watch. You know,

it's a weird situation, you know? Yeah. I feel like right before we started recording,

I was telling Charlotte, I feel like I've been thinking about this episode kind of nonstop since

it aired 48 hours ago, something like that. I don't know.

But what's interesting is I think I've been thinking about the response to it a lot and my response

to the response, if that makes sense. I feel like this episode is such a case study in all of the divisive things that

happen throughout the Star Wars universe. And it's kind of boiled down into one episode. And it's

very interesting and hard to talk about, I think, too too so we'll probably be more rambly than usual

there's just a lot to cover and I hope that we can cover it all but the reality is that we won't

and I know that when we finish recording I'll be like but wait I have something else to add just because

there's so much in this episode oh my god you say this in like every episode

i know but but really this one in particular and i think for a lot of us fans this is the episode that

so many of us were so nervous about too and the one that was rumored for so long and no one really

knew how it was going to fit in and if it was

even going to happen and how it would how it would look and i think that before we get started

...
