0:26.5

Chapter 12, The Siege, which was directed by fan favorite, Carl Weathers.

0:32.9

Yay for Carl.

0:34.5

I'm so excited.

0:35.8

I've loved, like throughout all of his entire press tours for season

0:39.5

one and season two. He's just a delight. He's such a joy. And I remember actually in the press

0:45.2

tour of season one, he talked about how he, part of his deal for coming back or having like a recurring

0:53.3

role on the Mandalorian was a contingent that he

0:57.1

would get to direct. So I know that this is a really big deal for him and he was really excited

1:01.3

about it. And he's been so amazing online responding to fans and responding to comments. And I

1:07.1

honestly feel like that goes a really long way for the Star Wars fandom to see creators, you know, engaging positively with their fans. And it's just, it's just such a joy to like be able to participate in his joy too. And I could tell that I feel like the tone of this episode was also really joyful in a weird way. And I could tell that Carl was having a really good time with it.

1:30.7

Yeah, it had Carl's energy, like Carl himself, apart from the character of grief. Yeah, I think I remember last season, the best part is that like Carl spoils things.

1:43.9

And you remember him, he started talking about baby Yoda before this season premiered.

1:48.1

And I think he was with, I think it was in an interview with Pedro.

1:51.9

And Pedro was like, dude, what are you doing?

1:56.5

Yeah, I think he said something like, yeah, and then you see this baby.

1:59.7

Yeah.

2:00.5

And he's got a kid. And he was got something like, yeah, and then you see this baby. Yeah. And he's got a kid. I was like, so funny. I know, it's so great. I mean, he's just so fun and so great. And I really do think it carried over into this episode. Yeah. This episode was also written by John Favreau. And I just mentioned this. Most episodes are written by John Favro. This isn't like a new thing. But in the past week, I've watched Swingers. And Swingers was one of his first scripts that he wrote and starred in. And I'm just really trying to familiarize myself with John Favro's work. And I'm pretty familiar with it. I think a lot of us are. But I had never seen Swingers, which is an older movie from the 90s. And I think you can really tell in that movie, which I thought was good, but maybe perhaps hasn't aged that well. I feel like you could really tell, though, how strong of a writer he is. And I get that in basically every episode because I really feel like the Mandalorian continues to be really concise, really tight.
