and today we are talking about the manager's paradox. Let's do it.

Paradox, the new paradigm. Explain this. So you know where this thought came from was

I was having a conversation with Morning Brew's

product manager of our paid product today. We've been saying this for a while but

we're working on a paid product, hopefully going to launch in the near future and

we're talking about hiring a few people for this paid product.

One of the roles we're hiring for is a community editor.

Someone who is going to be part writer,

part community manager, because community is going to be part writer, part community manager, because community

is going to be such an important piece of the paid product.

And we were talking about who should manage

this community editor.

Should it be our product manager?

Should it be a lead editor?

And what we ended up deciding was we think that the community editor should be managed by a lead editor,

because one, it's an editorial role,

but also because as the product manager of the paid product, I want

Ashna or product manager to spend as much time as she can thinking about the evolution

of the product, thinking about the user experience, thinking about the evolution of the product, thinking about the user experience,

thinking about what features are we going to add.
