Today I have a really amazing interview featuring some deep musical

history. Like a lot of people I've sometimes been a little wary of Prague Rock from

that moment in the 70s when the possibilities of rock were expanding and bands were

pushing the boundaries way way out. But at the same time I was always a big fan of

the band Rush and that's led me to become totally progpilled over the past decade or so.

And among my new favorites have been the early albums of Yes,

who happened to be of course one of the single biggest influences on Rush.

1971 with classics including roundabout and long-distance run-around is out now in a new deluxe reissue box set. So today I have

with me an absolute legend in virtuoso. Guitarist Steve Howe of yes. Here's my

I loved reading in your book about when you were just you know a bit of a gun for hire

as a guitar player was that period before yes it seems like it had its

frustrations but was that also a fun time for you and exciting time?
