I noticed that we had a group of volunteers I was told for serving communion tomorrow.

I'd like to ask you a question.

Were you called?

Young people are always asking me about the missionary call.

Several people ask me this morning, how did you know that God had called you to be a

missionary?

And I would like to ask those volunteers, how did you know that God had called you to

serve communion?

How much praying did you do about it?

And how many visions and voices and pillars of fire and plow did you see before you made

that decision?

I have a hunch that most of the people that volunteered did so because there was a

need and it was one that they thought they could meet.

And so they simply said they would do it.

I've often been in the position of being in a camp or a conference or some kind of a group

where they say, can we have some volunteers to wash dishes?
