during the Advent and Christmas seasons, you'll hear something far more beautiful than Springsteen

serenating Santa. You'll hear the people of God

singing to their incarnate Lord, hymns of longing, hymns of lament, hymns that give voice

to our aching for a Messiah and a true home all culminating in the people of God joining

with the angelic choirs to praise the God who sent his son in our flesh born of a

virgin to be our Savior. Songs that burst forth proclaiming the true joy of the world.

The songs we sing at Christmas followed the pattern set for us in the scriptures where we find

songs surrounding the birth of Christ.
