We have a cultural problem when we think about sound.

Like we think about sound culturally as music.

And music is amazing.

And it's an amazing thing that humans can create and experience.

But the reality is that most of the Sonic world is not music.

And what I wanted to do was take that all of those other things and start to celebrate those. Hello everyone, Kirk Hamilton here and I have a special surprise for you all in this off week,

Dallas is among other things hosts of the fabulous podcast, 20,000 Hurts, which is a

podcast all about sound. They talk about music, they talk about sound effects that

you've heard, they trace sounds through the ages. It's an amazing show. If you like
