Today, I want to talk about enthusiasm, the magic power of that word.

So enthusiasm comes to us from two Greek root words, N, E, N, and Theos, T, H, E, O, S,

and the translation for N Theos is God within.

Now that does not mean light your hair on fire and speak like your Southern Evangelical

Minister shouting, Fire and Brimstone.

What it does mean is that you should be acting and conducting yourself with passion

for the project that you're involved in.

And so to be enthusiastic is to be as passionate as you can be, not as passionate as the person

you see on television who's lit their hair on fire and is yelling and screaming and jumping

around.

That's not necessarily enthusiasm, maybe bravado, but enthusiasm is vulnerable, authentic,

passionate, passion for what you're doing.

And then I also like to draw your attention to the last four letters of the word.

So I, A, S, M, I, A, S, M is an acronym for I am sold myself.

And so we know that when we're sold, it's much easier for us to convey that enthusiasm,

that passion to other people.
