My favorite part of being in the Boy Scouts was all the camping trips we got to go on.

We'd go camping once a month, including during the winter. Oh my god, I hate camping during

the winter. I hated camping during the winter as a kid. I hate, and then I was like, yeah, no,

I went camping a couple of times with my mates in the winter. And the last time I went, there was

a meter of snow. We were up on some mountain, there's a meter of snow, and it was f***ing cold,

and I was so cold in the night. I was so cold in the night that I was just, you know,

that plank exercise where you kind of lie down and lift yourself up off the ground until you can't

do it anymore. I was just doing that because I'd wake up. I'd be so cold that I'd do that, and it

would warm up my body. And then I'd go to sleep for 20 minutes, and then I'd wake up 20 minutes later,

so cold, and just repeat, and I just repeated that all night, and it was miserable. And then I was

like, I'm never going camping in winter again. I'm an adult man. I don't have to, and I never did.

I don't care how good your sleeping bag is, how good your tent is. There is nothing nice about camping

when it's f***ing freezing. One January went to a mountain in New Hampshire that was also the home

of a week-long summer camp that we attended, which meant that there were various facilities

available instead of it just being a barren, desolate mountain top. When we arrived at about

midnight on Friday, we grabbed all of the cots in the cabins. It had been a long drive after a

long day of school, and we were far too tired for anything else. The next day, though, me and my

friend Matt decided that we'd sleep outside and an igloo we built. Okay, it was minus 17 degrees
