Hello and welcome to the K-EXP Runcast. I'm John Richards, your host and fellow runner. How are we all

feeling today? I am still recovering from some injuries, so, you know, shake your head if you're

like me, kind of working through it. I'm getting my miles back up. I'm slowly but surely,

you know, getting out there and making sure I get some miles in. It's important. We do that. Actually, to me, I find it harder to get the miles up when I'm recovering from an injury to get the motivation, the mental motivation, than I would on a regular day. And I know a lot of you can relate. So hopefully you're not dealing with that and you're just feeling great. in that case, don't take it for granted that you feel good right now.

You know, give yourself a little smile, a little pat on your back that you're okay right now and, you know, continue to stretch and do all the things you need to do to keep running. I got some amazing messages. I wanted to send one out to Andrew in Boston to start this run cast on. He said a few weeks ago, I read my first marathon 26, true in Boston, a small unsanctioned marathon put on by the Pioneer's run crew to

showcase the diversity of neighborhoods and people in Boston was fantastic, and it's not an

exaggeration to say I wouldn't have been there if not for the runcast. I started running during

COVID, working up from a 10-minute run-walk session to a mile and so on. Having the music and positive, supportive community the runcast provides. Got me outside on days I wasn't sure about it. Made me keep going every run. I vividly remember getting into part of an episode where Shad and John Spencer Blues' explosion came on back to back right at the end of my run, and I learned I could keep going. Awesome. Thank you for providing the great music and community reminding me that I'm a runner. I especially love your Ragnar episodes and Kevin's selections. Oh, don't worry. We got my buddy Kevin doing one of the run casts this season. And feel free to pass on to Brooks that I got my first pair because of the show and we'll get more. I'm sure Brooks totally appreciates that and the support. And I'd like to thank Brooks for supporting this runcast. All right, let's get it going.
