Welcome to the Jada Edwards podcast. For the next three episodes, we're going to do a short

series on what it means to really love biblically, authentically, and intelligently. I call it

the Love Well Project. Here's part one. So as we're thinking about what it really means to love

well, there's a couple of components,

maybe three components actually, that I really want to dive into. And the point of this is not to do

a deep biblical word study on Hesed love, which we see in the Old Testament or agape or fileto

or all the things that we know about love in scripture,

it really is more of a practical approach, what it means in our everyday lives.

And so when you think about this really important response that Jesus gives in Matthew 22,

when the Pharisees are asking him, you know, what's the greatest commandment in the law?

And he says, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind.

Mark adds with all your strength.

And he says, this is the great and foremost commandment.

The second is like it.

You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

And Jesus says on these two commandments depend the whole law and the prophets. That is such a weighty

response from Jesus. And I think we hear it all the time, especially if you're a Christian and you

hear the Bible taught or you read the Bible, you grew up in church or however long you have been a Christian.

That's just something.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, your mind, your strength, love your neighbor as yourself.

And so those are sometimes really common answers that we give to deeper problems of love.

And more importantly, we're not really sure what that means.
