Once upon a time, a louse and a flea kept house together.

It was a sturdy house made from an egg shell.

It was small, but then again, so were they.

And it was tidy, just as they both liked it.

One day, while they were brewing tea together, the little louse fell in and burned herself.

It was not so bad a burn, for the tea was barely warm.

Nevertheless, the little flea cried and screamed, while the little louse pulled herself out and dried herself off. Then, their little door, made from a tiny flat splinter, asked.

Little flea, why'd you scream?

The little flea replied, because the little louse has burned herself.

Then I shall swing, cried the little door, and swing it did.
