Yeah. Casey, here we are at the beginning of a grand journey. It takes about a step to begin, my friend.

One single step. And once we take that step, it's going to be the furthest we've ever been from where we started.

My apartment? Yes. Didn't you? Isn't there? What did you call it? A long cut of every single time?

Sam took a step that someone cut in the line. One step further. And it's the furthest I've ever been. And like, did it for every single?

Did you tell me this? I don't know. I don't think so. Maybe it was Max who did. That sounds like it maybe it might be like a 15 hour or day old.

Yeah, exactly. Because once he says it the first time, it's also true every subsequent step. Right.

And so they just made this long cut of every single step he did throughout the entire rest of the thing. Incredible.

He said that every time. And it was just like, Sam, I'm going to kill you.

Casey, let's explain what we're doing here. All right. This is our first trilogy of episodes in the unseason.

One of our favorite film trilogies is the Lord of the Rings, you and I are both big fans of the books as well. And here we are to do our own trilogy modeled after the Lord of the Rings.

And this, this being the first book of three each episode will be covering a tree that to us best represents that part of the story.

Yes. For any given reason. Casey, the tree we're discussing today for this first book in our trilogy is the pedunculate oak, also known as the English oak quercus rover.

That is exactly right. Do you know what rober stands for? Robust. That's it. Strong.

Casey, I'm cheating a little bit because a spoiler alert. What? We talked about this tree in our winter solstice celebration 2021.
