Hello, welcome to another episode of the Weeds on the Box Media Podcast Network.

I'm Matthew Glacias, here with Darra Lindt and Jane Kostin.

And I wanted to talk today about Justin Amash, who has long been, I think, one more interesting

members of Congress, but who got interesting in a very interesting way over the weekend.

When he did, this is 2019, so this is how you do things.

But this is a Republican member of Congress from Michigan.

He did a tweet storm saying that he had read the Mueller report and he had concluded

that Donald Trump committed impeachable offenses.

This is obviously a controversial stance inside the Republican caucus.

It's going to go into all kinds of trouble.

But I think, you know, before we delve into the specifics of that, it's just like, who

is this guy, right?

Because like, this is not like a moderate Republican who's holding on to a blue-leaning

district by that skin of his fingers looking to save his career.

This is someone who came in, you know, he is a libertarian conservative.

He came into Congress as part of the Tea Party Revolution of 2010.

And if you remember what the Tea Party was originally about, the Tea Party stated that

its purpose was to fight for a limited government and lower taxes and just getting the state

out of the individual lives in the homes of everyday Americans.
