Welcome to Political Thinking,

a political thinking with a difference,

not because it's the general election,

though I'll have a word or two to say about that.

But because my guest has just got

one of the biggest jobs in politics

and one of the grandest roles in the country,

and this voice is going to be one,

you're going to get very used to very soon.

This to me is a great achievement

from the lab from Lancashire.

You know, it's a long way from Dublin

to that village next door to Charlotte

to come all the way down here

to end up as the commander of the land.

That's the man formerly known as Selenzy Hoyl,

now known by everyone, simply as Mr Speaker.
