So there's a controversy brewing about a one second frame at the end of a video Trump posted on

0:03.9

truth social regarding election fraud in the state of Georgia. It was a serious video.

0:07.8

Probably should be taken seriously. But all the oxygen has been sucked out of the room because

0:12.2

this one second frame flashed on the screen and it was Barack Obama and Michelle Obama depicted

0:16.7

as monkeys. It comes from a cartoon that's on social media, a larger narrative that Trump is

0:22.8

the king of the jungle and it depicts all kinds of political figures as various animals. How that

0:27.4

made its way into the end of a serious video about election fraud is a bit of a mystery. Trump said

0:32.4

it's an intern. It was a mistake. He never saw it. And he essentially denounces that depiction, doesn't agree with it,

0:39.3

And this is the larger narrative. And I do think we need to take this seriously.

1:05.5

Why is it that over the last year, there seems to be more and more posts coming from official government accounts.

1:14.2

Trump's true social is not necessarily that, but he is the president, right? I'm talking about

1:18.9

other actual official departments in the government that are putting out things that you would

1:24.8

think were made by some based edge lord on Twitter.

1:30.2

And I'm not saying they're all necessarily bad.

1:32.3

Some of them I've even enjoyed, but I do wonder at times, why is it that official government

1:38.2

accounts are trolling and engaging in the kind of cartoonish behavior that we associate so often with edge lords online.

1:48.9

Now, I think the answer is pretty obvious, and maybe this situation reveals it.

1:52.6

Yeah, there's interns. This is their language.
