I can't tell you how many times I've thought about that night.

It feels like yesterday, even though I'm 30 now. When I was 15, I was

just like any other teenager, feeling alone, misunderstood, desperate for something to make sense of my

life. At the time, I was living in a house that always felt too quiet. I had a family, but none of us really connected. I wasn't the

religious type, but on this particular night, I was at my breaking point. I'd been crying for what

seemed like hours, trying to make sense of everything that was wrong. The darkness outside
