another year. Now, for today's episode, I sat down with Sean Farron, who works as a ski development

engineer at Line and K2, and we discuss a whole bunch of skis

that he developed for both brands for the 24-25 season. We cover the completely new and now

fully unisex Line Pandora collection, the overhauled Line Vision series, and how Lyme's's optics series led to the development of all those new

models. We also cover some skis that Sean worked on for K2, including the all-new Reckner and Omen

series, what it was like working with Carl Fossvet to create his new Reckner KF Pro model and more.

Now Sean not only does an excellent job of peeling back the curtain on the development

and design of all these skis, but he also provides a lot of really interesting insight into

what it actually means to be a ski designer slash engineer, and he offers his advice

for anyone who's interested in pursuing a similar career.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation and I have a very strong hunch that anyone listening to Gear 30 will as well.
