At some point, hopefully a long time from now, the day will come for all of us to close our eyes one final time.

Be it from old age, an accident, or some other conclusion, when our time here ends, our lives,

accomplishments, and decisions will continue on without us, just in a much different form. After our death, those close to us will reflect on their memories of our time spent together.

And as these memories are shared and passed around to those who care enough to remember us, the stories they tell about us

will collectively become weave together into a sort of living tapestry that will serve to

inform others of who we were. These tapestries are our legacies.

And I suppose the scary part is that we have no control over the shape they take or
