| 0:00.0 | You've been looking at your business through a keyhole when there's actually a massive door in front of you that you can open up and see what it truly is. |
| 0:08.8 | I hate the word mindset so much that I might have to write a book about it. |
| 0:12.3 | So many things in my life have happened because I like, it's so funny. |
| 0:16.2 | It's like I had my gyms and I had six gyms and like I didn't know many people who had more gyms than me for most of the time that I had my gyms |
| 0:24.8 | And people started reaching out and asked me for help with the gyms and I told Layla |
| 0:31.1 | No matter what. I was like I never would have become a gym guru and then like at the end of this whole life cycle |
| 0:36.5 | I ended up becoming like the biggest gym guru and so it's like I hate the end of this whole life cycle, I ended up becoming, like, the biggest gym guru. And so it's like, I hate the term mindset. I think it sucks. I think people have all this mythology around it. They're like, these things get stored in your body, and there's these synchronicities and frequencies and vibrations and manifestation. It's like, dude, just define what you're talking about. Like, what are you saying? |
| 0:55.7 | And whenever, whenever people say those things, I'm going to go a little amorphous and I'm going to |
| 0:59.5 | get back to business, all right? So don't worry. Give it two minutes, two minutes, then we're |
| 1:02.9 | going to hit business again. All right. This is my last point. When you begin to see language as |
| 1:07.7 | behavior, so let me explain what that means. If I say hi, then I'm soliciting a |
| 1:16.4 | response from someone, the sound high, then they have been reinforced for saying high back or |
| 1:24.2 | what's up, right? And so what happens is, for example, I'll give you a different |
| 1:29.3 | version of this. If I begin to cry, then I'm going to solicit a certain type of response from people |
| 1:34.3 | around me. And this is where people start to create vicious cycles. Let me give you an example of one. |
| 1:40.1 | This is one that I realized with Layla, my wife, so I'll just be rare with you. So if Layla cries in the earlier part of our relationship, well, for many years, I'll be real with you, many years, when Layla would cry, I would try and comfort. |
| 1:53.1 | And if she was still crying, I would stay quiet because I didn't know what to do, and she would still cry. |
| 1:59.0 | And then I would get angry. |
| 2:00.6 | And then she would stop crying. then I would get angry and then |
| 2:01.1 | she would stop crying and so what ended up happening is that I ended up being reinforced for getting |
| 2:06.1 | angry when she was sad and so when she would cry I would get angry and then she would stop crying |
| 2:11.7 | because I learned to get let not not consciously right but I learned to get layla to stop crying |
