Well, with me in the studio back by popular demand, my bride, Tina Queen of the Bees. Hello, everyone. However, Christian Heinz, our political prognosticator is not here today. Now, he still worked on this, but he wasn't able to be here. He's still on vacation in Florida, but we should have him back next Thursday. Well, today we're going to talk about what I think everyone expects us to talk about, and that is the shooting that took place in Minneapolis.

0:21.7

Now, I'm willing to bet that no matter where you are on the political spectrum,

0:25.4

when you heard that an ICE officer had shot a woman and killed her,

0:31.4

you had some preconceived notions about what that meant, about what happened, about how it happened,

0:35.4

about why it happened.

0:36.6

If you're on the right, if you're generally supportive of what ICE is doing, you probably thought, well, odds are there was a good reason that it was provoked or something of that nature. If you're on the left, you were probably thinking, well, yeah, of course, of course. Ice agents are violent and they're out there and they're hurting innocent people. And so it's, it's not bizarre to believe that these jackbooted thugs would kill an innocent woman.

0:59.9

Regardless of what your predisposition was, though, the next question you should have been asking is,

1:04.6

what sort of evidence do we have in order to either confirm our bias or determine that maybe we were wrong this time based off of the

1:13.6

facts and evidence presented and available.

1:16.3

And then the videos started to come out and different angles showed different things.

1:22.4

Here's one of the things that I noticed right off the bat.

1:24.9

First of all, there was an increasing tendency for both

1:28.4

sides to get on and basically claim that they understood in its entirety what had happened.

1:37.2

And that is, that's something that's been developing over time because historically, the left

1:43.0

has always had a narrative ready to go

1:44.6

whenever law enforcement is involved in an altercation with criminals. It's always this idea of the

1:50.0

law, clearly the police did something wrong. It's the unarmed subject. It's the hands up don't shoot.

1:55.9

It's the George Floyd was totally innocent. When we learned out later that none of that was actually

2:00.1

accurate, none of that was actually accurate.

2:01.9

None of it was accurate.

2:09.1

But in this case, my predisposition was ICE was probably justified in the shooting.

2:11.6

And then I looked at some of the videos.
