Grudgingly, inch by inch, mainstream politicians are finally beginning to distance themselves

from Israel's genocide in Gaza. After literally years of delay, prominent politicians like Bernie

Sanders and Ro Khanna have actually used the word genocide to describe Israel's actions. Senator

Chris Van Hollen says the U.S. is complicit

in war crimes. And candidates up for election, like Massachusetts Representative Seth Moulton,

are beginning to refuse money from APAC. In the UK, even Pierce Morgan, who was long a supporter of

Israel, now condemns its, quote, indefensible atrocities.

This change is welcome, but it's also much too late.

It was always obvious that Israel's retaliation for the October 7th attacks was going to be a horrifying massacre.

Israeli leaders told us so themselves.

Amalek, a tribe that's wiped out in the Bible, to defense minister Israel Katz's, quote,

they will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world, unquote. None of it was ever secret, and people on the political left were trying to ring the alarm

bells from the start. Professor Norman Finkelstein warned on October 17, 2023, that, quote,

one million children in Gaza are trapped in an inferno. And in January 2024, this magazine,

Current Affairs, ran a long article by Stephen Prager entitled Israel Has No Defense, laying out the

evidence for a charge of genocide. The nation of South Africa brought the actual charge

before the International Court of Justice in December 2023. But at the time, mainstream politicians and media figures wouldn't admit the obvious

truth. The official line, repeated in endless op-eds and speeches, was that Israel had a right

to defend itself, you know, by attacking others,

and that so-called anti-Semitism on college campuses was the real problem.

Now, after more than two years, more than 100,000 Palestinians likely dead,
