Welcome back my friends. It is time for your morning shot to the soul to help you live a life that pleases God.

This is the morning mindset. Welcome, we're going to get our minds

aligned with God's truth today. And what that means is we are getting our thinking on track

with his thinking about him, about the world, about the people around us, and sometimes

most importantly about ourselves because we develop these erroneous ideas about who we are, thinking that we are working,

striving, endeavoring to be someone who pleases God.

And the very essence of being a Christian is not about that.

It is about relying in the one who is pleasing God, that's Jesus Christ. We place our faith in him and we trust him as we live in this world.

That's what the apostle Paul has been telling us in Galatians chapter 3. And we're going to look beginning

in verse 23 at his next illustration that he gives us to show what it is he's

meaning by telling us that we live by faith and not by keeping a bunch of rules.

And this illustration he uses the phrase the term guardian, which I know some translations

use the word tutor.

I find both of those to be very helpful.

Now let's read the passage and then we'll kind of unpack what it means.

Paul says,

Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming

faith would be revealed.

So then, the law was our guardian or tutor until Christ came in order that we might be

justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian or tutor.

For in Christ Jesus, you are all sons of God through God, through faith.

For as many of you, as were baptized into Christ, have put on Christ.
