Summary

Galatians 3: 12-22 - Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law. 22 But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

to please God and to be acceptable to him as believers in Jesus Christ.

And Paul is making the argument that is not the case.

The law is not only irrelevant for the way that we come to faith in God, but is also in many respects

1:07.7

irrelevant to the way we live by faith in God.

1:12.0

You see, Paul's point is that the same way that we come to

relationship with God through faith is the same way we live out our

relationship with God through faith.

And having made that point, he's answering some hypothetical questions

that might come up.

1:30.5

They're not really that hypothetical.

1:32.0

They're things people really would think.
