Now what is it like when you're a prosecutor and a jury is deliberating?

It's the worst thing ever.

Dan Goldman was one of three prosecutors on the case.

It is incredibly nerve-wracking to sit there and wait for the verdict.

You are just trying to distract yourself any way that you can.

And this was a complicated case.

There were three defendants, multiple murders, and a litany of charges.

We had strong physical evidence for some of the charges, but for others we were relying on testimony of our cooperating

witnesses and the jury had to decide if they were credible. Mark Lanfer, the

lead prosecutor on our team, thought the liberation was going to take days.

This isn't just a yes, no, are they guilty?

This indictment had a lot of different counts.

It was complicated to work through.

Yeah, they had to work through a grid with the three defendants and then the racketeering had sub-acts.

Yeah.

But we were wrong. The deliberation didn't take days. I think it basically took about three hours.

We were in our trial room and we got a call from the courtroom deputy saying they send a note to have a perfect.
