A July 4th Special- 1001 interviews author and veteran Mark Hager regarding his new book 'The Last of the 357th Infantry Harold Frank's WWII Story of Faith & Courage- which is an incredible story of a WWII veteran who participated in the Normandy invasion as a BAR man, was wounded after 30 days on non-stop fighting during which most of his division was killed or wounded, and survived a German prison camp.. 0:40.0	I've read a lot of World War Two books for business and pleasure and the
0:45.0	book we're taking a look at today is one of the best and most enjoyable World War
0:48.8	Two histories I've ever had the good luck to come across. It's called The Last
0:53.0	of the 357th Infantry. Harold Frank's World War Two story of Faith and Courage
0:58.0	by Mark Haginorn. What differs this story from most is the way he shares the
1:03.0	story with the reader. We're able to join Harold Frank as he grows up for
1:07.0	during the Depression learning the values Faith and God and survival skills he
1:12.0	would need to survive the bloody shores of Normandy as a B.A.R. Gunner as well
1:16.0	as captivity in a German prison camp. It's a compelling story made all the
1:20.0	better from hours of interviews with Harold Frank who truly was the last
1:24.0	survivor of the war torn 357th Infantry. This book will keep you on the edge
1:29.0	of your seat throughout and I highly recommend it. Mark Haginorn thank you for
