Curiously, neither had any of the dragons hatched after the dance.

There were still adult dragons in Westrose born before the dance that survived.

Not many, but some, and they were strong

and powerful in at least a few cases. But by 153, they were gone as well. So how did this come

to be? That's not a very long time, right? Were there those who dreamt of a dragonless Westeros

and of those for whom the answer was yes, did they do anything about it?

I'm sure plenty of people just had that thought, but we're talking about people who put it into

action.

Or did it happen for reasons outside of human control, where there are supernatural factors beyond comprehension that maybe we can just touch

on a little bit or at least extrapolate?

Or was it a combination of things?

And if so, which things?

And to be clear, my friends, this is not a theory that originated with fans. Well, I would say it didn't entirely

originate with fans. It did entirely originate with fans at first. There were plenty of fans

who suspected the maestress of killing the dragons before Marwin the Mage expressed that belief

on page, because Marwin the Mage did that at the end of a Feast for Crows, and y'all are well aware that there were three books before that one. So it's a conspiracy theory, but it's a conspiracy theory believed by characters in the story and by parts of the fandom. So that's, well, that puts it in a different category. We have a smart fandom, y'all. That's something that I'd like to throw out there. You know, people figuring things out before they're spelled out more. I like that.
