The The The silver and purple of House Malister has long been the least welcoming sight to an Ironborn Raider, and anyone

who makes the Ironborn think twice about the things they do is someone you want on your side

in a fight, or just in general. This is a house as proud as houses get, but it's a different

kind of pride. It's the pride it's a different kind of pride.

It's the pride of accomplishment, the kind of pride you earn.

The kind of pride we can look back on your family history and say, yeah, we've been doing it right.

Not the kind where you just feel in act superior just because your ancestors were powerful and

or rich.

Well, to be fair, there's some of that too, but that first part, I think, is a big difference

maker.

Like a lot of houses, we get to explain and or consider their position in history throughout

a number of eras, right?

But unlike a lot of houses, they're pretty different from the rest in their respective region.

It's difficult to disrespect House Moucester, many accomplishments, few scandals, frequent honors,

rare failures.

But I will be drawing a lot of comparisons in this episode about how they're really not the same.

They're different than a lot of other Riverlands houses, and in a lot of ways they would

fit better in a different region. Something we'll delve into. How did they get this reputation?

Why are they held in such high regard? Why do I think they might fit better elsewhere? Well,

they're above the rest. That's their motto, and they do live up to it quite well. So that's

going to be a big part of this. Though their past is rich, we have a Song of Ice and Fire to discuss as well.

This is a house that has managed to conserve most of their strength throughout the War of Five Kings.
