0:34.0

a real raw version of what things I really like. And in today's video, we're going to be discussing how the lash industry is different in 2026.

0:44.0

Yeah, this is like a good one.

0:45.2

I feel like this is a really good time to speak on this.

0:47.1

The reason we wanted to touch on this topic is because things have greatly changed since when we first started doing all this stuff in the lash industry.

0:53.3

So a couple of things that really, really stand out. Number one, when we first started doing all this stuff in the lash industry. So a couple of things that really, really stand out. Number one, when we first started doing lashes, we were kind of one of the first ones in the space to really be on YouTube. We were on there doing podcasts, tutorials, everything, and we were really the only one doing it, because back then that was when an era when nobody would give free info unless you paid for them to train you in it. you in it. And so we were kind of the first ones that come out and give the playbook on it. You know, our YouTube channel had over 100,000 subscribers, some of our videos had over 3 million views. And back then it was very easy. You could just run stuff on YouTube and hashtag it and things would just automatically go out and people would see it. But now there's a lot of people

1:28.4

competing in this space. A lot of people are putting out content and YouTube never no longer uses

1:33.4

things like hashtags to get your content out there. So one of the biggest things they do now,

1:38.7

it's all about your hook. What does that mean? The thing that grabs people's attention in the first

1:42.9

three to five seconds. So we're in an era right now with social media where people are just

1:47.2

kind of I don't want to say there's it's just so much content to consume my

1:52.6

wife is saying today on TikTok they did a study on just 20 second shorts on how

1:57.2

people just will sit there in doomscroll on 20 second shorts and so if you get a video and you can't catch someone's attention the first three to five seconds then you're absolutely lost them so that's part of it you've got to have a good hook second is the thumbnail the thumbnail has to have a really good picture and like good descriptive words on it to get people's attention as well and I think that's one of the things that's changed before where you could just kind of

2:17.7

throw a slop up there and see what would actually work.

2:20.3

And the reason this is massive now is if you don't get their attention right away and if you don't have a good thumbnail, people aren't going to tune in. And I've seen some really good ads lately on Facebook to where this guy had this one where who pulls it up like at a traffic light and he almost hits a guy crossing the street

2:35.3

and a guy that turned up the window guy's like bang bang he's like hey you sob you like beat on my window you know you almost hit me and the guy rolls the window down he's like what's going on he's like hey you're in the middle of a facebook ad and i thought it was super cool because it like i'm like waiting for the suspense or is they're giving me a fight you know what i mean it got my attention for the ad so I'm just saying those are the type of things that are really big right now

2:53.5

yeah I think right now like creativity has to be on steroids in order for your business to work
