So James, here is your episode about the biggest and the most important war of all times.

When James asked me to make an episode about the biggest war or battle of all times, I knew immediately which one I would tell you all about.

In many ways, this is the perfect right before Christmas episode.

You know, because we have been given five senses that help us understand and process the world around us,

most of the time we humans think that what we can see and touch and smell in here and taste is all there is.

But all those elements of the world that we can sense are only part of what actually exists around us.

There is so much more that we can't hear or see your taste or touch or smell.

We live in what we call the physical realm, but there is also a spiritual realm that is just as real.

Well, back in episode 56, I told you the story about why I always end each podcast episode with the words with the help of Jesus be the best you ever.

I'm sure some of you haven't heard that episode yet, so I'll give you a super quick overview because it sets the backdrop for this story.

In that episode, I told you the amazing true story of how God created the universe and the earth and everything in it, including Adam and Eve, the first man and woman.

When he created everything, he declared it all to be good, but then Satan, who had once been a beautiful angel in heaven,

but had been thrown out for rebelling against God Almighty, had come and deceived the man and woman whom God had created and placed in the Garden of Eden.

I told you about how the decision to disobey God was the very first sin humans committed and it was this sin that brought death and destruction into the beautiful world that God had created.

And it was slavery to that sin that would be passed down to every human ever born afterwards, including me and you, and your grandma.
