take that was thrown down this week? Yeah, man. This was like, you know, I'm very proud to work

at Gawker Media. I have amazing colleagues, but sometimes they just throw down stuff that's embarrassing, you know, and this

was one of those, this is one of those times. No disrespect to our friends over at Jezebel,

but, you know, I was just wondering how this got published. Yeah, I have immense disrespect for

the post. I think immense disrespect for the post.

I think it's a terrible post.

I'm very upset about it.

I'm just going to give you a snippet of Ojoa Road.

By the way, her take was it follows the absolute worst season.

And I think that's just astonishingly wrong, but I am skewed because I'm a dad.

So, you know, back in like my youth, like summer was fun and you, you know, you could be like

Huck Finn and go, you know, skip rocks and like hang out and like go lash together a raft and like

chew on a fucking piece of straw while you're you know while

you're lounging underneath the tree or something like that i'm a dad now so when the kids are

home in the summer that's just hell so i welcome fall i welcome football i welcome school taking

the kids away from me not bothering me anymore but jia doesn't doesn't agree. And Gia wrote, things getting cold. To me, I'm sorry, go on because you're, you're going to read an excerpt from this take now. I'm just going to read the small excerpt because I can't, I can't handle reading any more than that. Things getting cold is just not a theme worth honoring. Fall is an off ramp straight into the worst time of your life. But what about the people who actually like winter best, you might say? I don't know. What about the people would think we live in a post-racial America? There are people who say that they like winter best, but this is a cohort dominated by children who disproportionately prefer winter because of the presence, the school break, and the fact that they don't have to buy their own coats. All right, that's enough. That's all I'm going to read. Because if she's saying... This take is fucking bullshit, man, because, okay, fall on its own merits is the best season because you've got all this wonderful stuff going on. You know, the crisp, clean air, the bright, vivid colors. It's all so invigorating. It makes you still so productive and creative.

You've got things like, you know, you can go out to pick apples and press them with your own hands into cider and drink it and feel like, you know, this is what America is supposed to be.
