I'm Lee White. And Will Terry is not joining us today. He is off on assignment and we have special privilege of interviewing

Samona Chekcarelli, who is a professional illustrator based in Switzerland. And man, we dig into

pretty, we get into pretty deep about working in the European market doing children's books. I know we get a lot of

people asking questions about that, especially through children's book pro. How does, how does

that world work? And she's got a ton of advice for that. What would you say some of your big

takeaways from this episode, Lee? I mean, the whole thing, really, because she comes at illustration from such a unique

place in the world, and she's got an international agent.

So I didn't know most of the stuff that she's talking about.

Most of the market that I've worked in is U.S.

base, maybe Canada every now and again.

But, you know, she's sort of figured out the international model, I guess.

And it's interesting to hear her take on that,

because different places want different kind of looks,

and they expect different kind of things,

and the pay is different, and she's going about it in a

really interesting way one thing about her in particular is she's you know we always talk about

illustrators putting in a couple of years of grind she has done years and years and like a decade

of grinding on these pro i mean she's been a pro forever but she's

prolific i mean and she's doing these scenes when you guys see her work if you're watching the

youtube or or you go to her instagram page um she's just every scene has 40 people and and 10 dogs
