On Friday, November 17, 1978, at around 11 p.m., the burger chef in Speedway, Indiana closed for the night.

Within the hour, its four young employees were taken.

Someone forced them out of the restaurant.

Someone drove them 20 miles to the south, down a darkened gravel path in the woods.

Someone shot, stabbed, and beat the four young people to death, and left their bodies in the cold autumn air.

To this day, we still don't know who murdered Jane Freak, Ruth Shelton, Ganny Davis, and Mark Flemmins.

Their families and loved ones still don't have answers, and neither do the law enforcement officers who investigated this case.

The burger chef murders continue to haunt Indiana to this day.

I'm Kevin Greenley, and I'm a lawyer who represents Ruth's sister.

I researched this case since 2016.

I became obsessed with this case when I covered the murders for Insider last year.
