Yes, I think it's a bit of a misnomer that Australia is warm everywhere all the time.

Up in the Blue Mountains where I am it gets to about minus two and we have maybe one or two

reasonable dumps of snow in a year so the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens even though it's an hour

and a half outside of Sydney is in sort of its own climate and we're able to grow beautiful

cool climate plants which you don't get to see in Sydney so that's a big point of difference for us.

To me it's always so interesting to talk about it because I don't really have a cool climate

just generally speaking. I can fake it by growing let's say my brassica crops throughout fall

into the winter and then harvesting them as winter ends and that's kind of like my best shot at

having a good harvest. I had a great brassica harvest this year which is just really a counterintuitive

way to garden for most people who actually have a more natural seasonal shift.
