Today I have a really exciting guest to bring to you.

It's been a little bit of a challenge to get Marion Whitehead on the podcast.

She's out in Australia in the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden in Mount Toma, Australia.

She's a supervisor of ornamental gardens there and Marion, I think it might make sense

to start off with just a little bit of history on, you know, where are you in the world

for those who don't have a familiarity with Australia and its geography and what's going

on at Blue Mountains?

So we are very far away from anywhere being in Australia and then the Blue Mountains is

sort of on the periphery of the Sydney Basin.

So they're called mountains but not really mountains that you'd know of in any other country.

It's more of sort of a big escarpment, we're about a thousand metres above sea level and

about an hour and a half outside of Sydney.

So the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens that I work out is one of the only Botanic Gardens

in the world that sits within a World Heritage Wilderness.

So our garden is located in the middle of the Blue Mountains National Park which is an

incredibly pristine wilderness outside of Sydney.
