In our world, there is so much sorrow, misery, and sadness.

We see indicators all around us that reveal to us that most people are looking for something,

anything, that can bring them true joy. In this study on joy,

Scott Pauley will take us to God's Word and help us discover the source of true, lasting joy.

And as we study the Bible together, we will find that God's joy is readily available to us

through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

As we've made our way through the Word of God, we've come now to the book that is arguably

the greatest treaties on Christian joy there is, and that is the book of Philippians.

The next three studies will be camped here, and just really hitting a couple of highlights.

But today, I want to bring you to something that I think

is very often overlooked, and yet it is one of the greatest joys in the Christian experience. It is

the joy of intercession. We come to Philippians chapter 1 and verse number 3 and verse number

4, where Paul writes to the believers in philippi

i thank my god upon every remembrance of you always in every prayer of mine for you all making

request with joy and notice he doesn't just say, I'm praying for you.

Do you say that to people?

You should.

And by the way, if you tell somebody you're going to pray for them, pray for them.

How many times we've said praying for you and we really didn't?

That's called lying, you know.
