0:29.4	Good morning. Last week, the select committee laid out a preview of our initial findings about the conspiracy, overseen and directed by Donald Trump.
0:41.2	To overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and block the transfer of power, a scheme unprecedented in American history.
0:51.4	My colleagues and I don't want to spend time talking about ourselves during these hearings, but as someone who's run for office a few times, I can tell you at the end of a campaign, it all comes down to the numbers.

1:11.4	For the most part, the numbers don't lie.
1:15.2	But if something doesn't add up with the numbers, you go to court to get resolution.
1:21.2	And that's the end of the line.
1:23.3	We accept those results.
1:25.5	That's what it means to respect the rule of law.
1:28.7	That's what it means to seek elective office in our democracy.
1:33.6	Because those numbers aren't just numbers, they're votes.
1:37.9	They're your votes.
1:39.3	They are the will and the voice of the people.
1:42.3	The very least we should expect from any person seeking a position of public trust is the acceptance of the will of the people.
1:51.6	When a lose.
1:53.6	Donald Trump didn't.
1:55.6	He didn't have the numbers.
