Katie, I think the significance of playing that brief clip there was to tie together these

two hearings, to tie together the fact that you had these Republican lawyers today, as

well as a former US attorney, as well as campaign officials, all testifying that the

president had been briefed in advance, that he was repeatedly briefed not on election

night, not to declare victory that the late vote, the mail-in, late counted vote was going

to clearly favor the Democrats over the Republican election day vote, and that he repeatedly

discounted that, just listening to Rudy Giuliani and those other outside conspiracy theorists.

And then, in fact, argued with Bill Barr, pushed back on all of the, you know, final examinations

of those conspiracy theories.

A month later, the legal FBI examinations of Georgia, of Michigan, of Pennsylvania.

And we heard from all of that today, and then bringing back the way that influence, the

way the big lie influenced the conspirators, who, rather, the people who followed the

conspiracy, who believed the conspiracy, and who then attacked the Capitol, tying together

those threats.

The panel saying that they were duped.

They were duped by the president of the United States willfully, that he was told over

and over again that the election was not stolen, and when he came up with an example that

he wanted chased down, they chased it down and they disproved it.
