So, Cheryl, I want to ask you a question,

which is whether you have ever been plagued by jealousy.

And I guess I mean specifically, there's lots of forms of jealousy.

Professional jealousy is writers, we know all about that.

I mean really romantic jealousy or jealousy in the context of a friendship.

Hmm.

My sort of operating theory in my own life about jealousy is that when it rears its own...

I really try to push it away.

You know, this is advice that I gave in my Dear Sugar column.

We are all savages inside that there was a letter from a writer about her professional jealousy.

And I said, you know, that doesn't serve you. It's toxic. You need to push it down.

And interestingly, I generally feel that way about jealousy across the board.
