on a wide variety of topics. And today I want to talk to you about one that is at the top of the

list when it comes to world events. And that's what's going on in Iran. The president's message

to it this week was clear.

You have a message for the leaders currently of the land.

Yeah, the messages, they've got to show humanity, they've got a big problem,

and I hope they're not going to be killing people, and I'm going to have a report very soon.

It would seem to me that they have been badly misbehaving, but that is not confirmed.

To me, it seems like this is a moment that is closer to the type of change in Iran than we've ever seen, certainly in my lifetime and in the lifetime of those beyond me, well more so

than the Green Revolution that we saw during the Obama years.

And it's something that we should be optimistic and hopeful about, even with the skepticism

informed by the way that we've seen this regime crack down, not just before, but in recent

days in which the estimates run of upwards of 12,000 that they have killed.

And this is a regime, keep in mind, that is totally willing to kill the people in the

streets at nauseam without any kind of restraint in order to keep hold on power.

The difference it seems here is that you have a confluence of a lot of different forces coming

together to oppose the regime within the country in ways and to a

greater breadth than they ever have before.

people can't afford to buy the goods that they need to survive and where shopkeepers can't even
